Seems there is some glitch somewhere as I just saw your post had not been approved and so I approved it but seems all is ok then so cancel that . Must have a constipated line so I shall give it an enema.. At lease I got a laugh from some one today.

Everytime someone creates a new account they go through the 3 approved post stuff over again.
Easier to remember the password straight up. Write it on a piece of paper & stick it somewhere.

Re: Can't activate or can't login?
Dear Sir,
I have had this problem before. As you can see, I am online - on my laptop. I am home again after two and a half weeks away. I can't log in on my home computer. Have used the 'forgot password' request for a new password but that doesn't work. Done the reactivate thing and that tells me I am active.
Advice please.

Re: Can't activate or can't login?
Steve I'm very interested to find out the reason for this.
It seems a random problem.
When you try to enter the details you might get the "tried too many times" answer so you request the password "reset" & it sends it to you.
When you then enter it it still says "no go" & repeats the login window.
This time enter the new details AND THEN SCROLL DOWN and enter the answer to the captcha question.
Let me know if that works please?
I can easily do it for you but I only do what I said above.

Re: Can't activate or can't login?
I have done the 'captcha' answer twice with the same result. Interestingly, I have closed and restarted the forum on this laptop which is still using my usual password - not the new password sent via the email.
The PC I use at home is the same PC I previously reported the problem of not being able to access the 'view unread posts' button. I got around that by replacing 'internet explorer' with 'Safari' as my means of accessing this forum.
I'm happy to try and work this through with you. If I get to the point of not being able to log on on this laptop, I'll contact you by other means.

Re: Can't activate or can't login?
Steve I'll reset the password & then you can go in and change it back to your 'usual' one.
Sounds like a session cookie issue.
I'll email the details to you.
