Trouble re-sizing photos

Post by Riverlander »

Hi. Will not take original photo as it is too big. I always resize photos to medium ( under 400 KB ) but a message comes up. " It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you have entered is correct" These images load in other forums but not this one. What am I doing wrong. Cheers John

I'd need to know how you are resizing them John.
It's obviously whatever software you are using that is the problem.
Apple product?
You back home already?

John, I have been using http://www.irfanview.com/ for a few years now and find that if you resize so the longest side is 1000 pixel or less then any forum that I frequent will allow me to post them. It is a free downloads and a lot of folk use it. Obviously others with advise of how they resize their pics.
Cheers

My son loaded it on here a long time ago and I cannot find out what it is. It only says" Image resizer for windows" Will wait for him to fix it up on his next visit as I am pretty comp. illiterate and don't want to risk stuffing it up.
Got back with the van at 2pm so now will be able to finish off the last few jobs to do on it. ( stuck the little T1 sticker on the back window )
Thanks John
