Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

So Cleopatra had slaves to peel her grapes, where's your slaves Dot? Not good being unable to eat stuff that is favourites. Take it easy my dear xxxx
Dot, don't take this the wrong way, but did one of those animals have a run in with a snake? I nearly put a tiny one on the black for Chase, but then thought I might be hearing wrong.

Thanks Shirley, I am pretty happy with how they turned out too.

Took His Nibs to a specialist appointment, so the day was very slow. I unloaded my last glass order and put it away in the right shelves. Amazing how much the sellers wrap the glass in bubble wrap. I won't be needing to buy any more bubble wrap, for a long time now. I set up the kiln ready for an early start, but as it is teeming with rain at the moment, I may decline the nighty run in the rain. Time will tell.

Hi Dot. Hear you have a cool change down there. Still 35 up here. Probably quite warm all night. Picked up the little lady from Adelaide for the weekend. She is half way through her treatment. Fingers crossed. Could be an early night after a trip down and back today.
Goodnight all. Cheers John

Pretty good for a dog that had never even curled his lips in anger.. Robert not Bob hope your tests were ok. Just having custard and banana for tea tonight, the grapes are gone for now. Off for a shower then bed e buys so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Grandad x :D

Glad I got that story checked Dot. I am happy now that the tiny glass snake is still in the jar. Lucky you got some cooler weather then xxxx

Kiln run done and dusted.

Then many phone calls and computer checks to lock in our next 12 months of electricity plans. We are staying with origen, but not happy. They have dropped our solar rate from 21cents to 16 cents. That is still the best rate that I can find. They charge us 29cents to use power but only give us 16 cents in return for our solar. Good thing that we use some of our solar every day. Don't be fooled by the red energy ads. They tell you the company is Australian owned and the profits all go back into our country. What they don't tell you , is that the owners are 2 Aussies and nobody else. So make that 2 bloody rich blokes who keep all the profits to themselves.

Deborah we must remember that power companies also get green credit for the power we produce as well as reselling it for a premium price to those who buy so called green power. So in the end we get done over several times buy the axxx oles. Cheers Robert

We used to have electricity bills of $300/mth.
Then we spent $2,500 (plus State & Federal subsidies) putting 6.5kW of solar panels on our roof.
Our last power bill was $24, prior one was $7.00!
(Been running the a/c overnight last few weeks.)
We’ve switched to daytime washing, dishwasher is on before sunset. Only regular night power is for lights and TV.
Best feed-in rate we could find is 11.5c/kW.
Working for us! 😀
When the gummint subsidises batteries at a decent rate, we’ll be in that, too! 😜

Twenty-two panels.
On a North-facing roof. (Well, five degrees East of North.)
No trees shading them.
Max efficiency!
