Deborah blew all day Friday & strong westerly winds again today, we have waves running across the lake, no one about to rough. Haven't heard of damage locally but a couple of roofs off in Newcastle & the prediction is for stronger winds.

It was windy here too, and it's not as warm as usual so we are also feeling the cold. Today we sold a few more bits of glass, so we are smiling.

We have had very poor internet this week, probably due to the high winds. Had nothing last night then today it finally started to fire up. We finished off the gemfest with a reasonable amount, so whie it's not a record for us here, it's still enough to keep us happy,

Global freezing is back Nights are so cold, so Dot I hope you have that electric blanket working for you xxxx

We are out the back of Dualinga pub tonight. Railway line is a hundred feet away and the coal trains are noisy, but we will sleep through and not hear them.

Bruce we are now in Rockhampton for the gem fair at the weekend. We dont work at markets, because nobody expects to buy quality stuff at markets, so the customers try to beat the price down all the time. We stick to rock/ lapidary festivals where people are already looking to buy jewellery.

How's the quarry there Miss Dot? xxxx

Drive to Rocky was fine, but as we started to set up, the rain started to fall...did not expect that. Luckily that rain was very light and we are all set up now and hoping to have a big sleep in day tomorrow.

Had a very relaxing day in Rocky today. Tomorrow we set up our stall ready for weekend trading All set for a few days here now.

Yep been off the radar due to this machine going through menopause but the Telstra lady fixed it (for now) We are in Goondiwindi at present but heading slowly towards Moree in the morning. Topped up on George food and had a very quick peep in Vinnies but they are not very good, dearer than Kmart and they mainly have clothing and bric a brac is non existent (due to new managers) Hope you do well at your next stall Deborah.
