Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Unfortunately, that is so true. Knowledge and experience counts for nothing with the latest thinking of team management.
Some business and govt enterprises just want all the old farts to go away.
They want the young ones that are afraid to speak up as management know that they need that job to make ends meet.
I could go on and on, but it isn't fair to hijack Rays thread.

The three symptoms of old age are:
1: Loss of short-term memory

Number 3's are a mix of number 1's and number 2's and that becomes a problem when they arrive without warning  Wasn't one of the sayings the old timer was sharing with his mate about life in old age, "Never pass a toilet without going in to at least check" "Never trust a fart" "try to wake up before your bowels do with enough time to make it to the toilet" ;)

At 64 I have picked up a senior management position in an NGO. Pays 6 figures car etc. Was supposed to be 12 months. Now mine for as long as I want. Apparently I can do no wrong... Plus I do get listened to. So the jobs are there. Yes I am still enjoying myself too
