Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

A SUNDAY MORNING REFLECTION:

I think we have God's idea of beauty upside-down...

Until a man ages and his head reaches perfect beauty, God covers it with hair.

One for the thinkers:
Kirkoff's law says energy can not be created or destroyed, only changed from one form of energy to another ....... Then how does a heat pump have CoP of greater than 4 these days https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coefficie ... erformance - 4 times the heating or cooling produced from each unit of electricity used to drive it .....?
I was watching a program on the ABC where a meat company was adapting to use the heat pumped out of the chillers to drive the boilers used for sterilisation and other forms of heating and powering the whole lot from renewable energy they were generating on site ....
That leads to the concept of driving a genset with a Stirling engine https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/en ... ing-engine to power the heat pump ..... better than perpetual motion engine because it could have a pto as well
