Roberts Move to SA

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

The wind returned this day and by the end of the Mallee highway we were being buffered from the side and dust storms. Turned on the Dukes Highway and it was head winds. After we hit the main highway into Adelaide took the speed up to 100klh so not to hold up traffic. That did not last long as the wind was hitting us hard so dropped back again.

We arrived safe and dropped of the van then headed to out daughters house. Good to spread out a bit but large amount of washing and cleaning of the cars to be done.

Arranged a house inspection for 1 pm today and talked to another agent about a house on his pre release list. Hope for a inspection before it goes on the market Monday. Will see if he comes good for a cash buyer but they are funny down here.

Cheers Robert
PS Have the grand daughter for the day should be fun.

Didn't you go over the Wellington Ferry? Not much wind or traffic that way.

Yes Mallee Hwy but .............
..... when you got to the intersection just BEFORE Tailem Bend you turn left towards Meningie & THEN go over the Wellington Ferry to Strathalbyn.

Went to look at a house we have been interested in for a while, talk about a touch up on the photos.after less than 5 minutes you could see it had sunk on one corner, very damp around the whole property and damp smell inside. The owners had made no effort to prepare the house for sale. Very dissapointed.

What is it about Adelaide and me? Down with another chest infection third time in 4 visits. Could not get a home doctor last night so haove to try again today.

Will continue house looking today but nothing on the main internet sites that meet what we want at the moment. Cheers

Don't forget Gumtree. Desperate people trying to cut out the middleman post there. Click on Market Place first unless you know the name of local groups.

EDIT: sorry I meant Facebook.

Another day and more house hunting, Bruce the wife had already tried the local FB groups. Had a couple of replies but both unsuitable. Checked one out in Flaggstaff Hill which had a good block but needed a lot of work inside, had a builder inspect and give us prices for renervation and it was just too much so let it drop.

Found one yesterday which suited me but still need a sewing room, could be added so will keep it on the list. Another couple to check out today. At lest we are getting a good look at all the southern suburbs.
