Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Many years ago there was a historical village next to the Newell Hwy at Forbes NSW. It isn't open any more, but is still there, well sort of anyway. What was it called?

Shirley,
I can’t believe any Aussies would stop at a pub for just one or two beers...
Are you sure it wasn’t ‘one or two dozen??

I vaguely remember visiting a Lachlan Village around that area somewhere. Can't remember much about it.
Been going through old photos, but can't be specific.
On the same trip we visited Swan Hill Village, so I might be confusing the two. I think Lachlan Village was a smaller version...

Is that what you're after, David?

Thats it Ray. It was the Lachlan Vintage Village. We stopped there a few times in the 80's. Some of the old buildings are still there. I think the local council owns it now and it is has been for sale for a long time now.

Q: In 1858, during the Crimean War, the good citizens of Ballarat formed the Ballarat Volunteer Rifle Regiment. Through several restructurings and renamings, the unit still exists.
What is the unit’s current name?

Correct term is Ampere , probably some French bloke that discovered its purpose. We all use the shortened version amp or amps. Now I need to do some research to find out what that military units current name is.
Dot, did I spell something wrong? If I did, I find it almost improbable that Ray or George didn't pick it up.
Is the word replacement assistance tool switched on, or ????
