Australian Trivia Only

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Agree about the Earl of Pemberoke.

MikeG, you got it in one!
The Endeavour was originally the Earl of Pembroke.
She was originally a Fully Rigged or Ship Rigged collier, with three square-rigged masts.
The local name for it was a Whitby Cat. (She was built in Whitby, also where James Cook grew up.)
She was converted to Barque rigging, which retained the two foremasts square rigged, and changed the aft mast to a fore-and-aft sail... no idea what advantage that conferred.

Although no longer in use where would you find Australia’s oldest rail tunnel?

Only a guess Brooklyn, NSW, we holidayed up on top of the hill above Parsley Bay for several years when I was a kid.
Believe that they grow muchrooms in that old tunnel these days.
