Re: Australian Trivia Only
My Road Atlas doesn't give enough detail, but I think it's an abandoned shale oil mine on one of the minor roads north of Lithgow, west of Newnes Junction and east of Marrangaroo. Can't remember the name of the mine or town.

Glen Davis, or Vale of Clwydd.
Or it could be the State Mine & Railway...
Found it on Google Maps...

Getting closer Ray. A bit more south east. You can see the wagon on street view when you get there.
Hooroo.

Re: Australian Trivia Only
Yup JD. You got it. And I bet you have never been there.
We enjoyed it. Spent the day walking through all the old works and refinery. Well and truly breaking down now, but you can still work out the setup as there are information boards about the place. Google Newnes.
My main interest was the railway arrangement as we had been to the glow worm tunnel that was part of the railway to Newnes. All dismantled now, but it can be walked.
And there is a camp ground where you can park up. There were no amenities when we were there some years ago.
Your go Jon.

Never been there; googled and a picture.
I really don't have anything handy. Can someone else post a picture?

Looks a bit like the old sugar wharf at Mackay?
