Australian Trivia Only

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Thomas Peel was part of a group of 3 English businessmen that entered into an agreement to settle the Swan River region of WA. But his two mates dumped him and pulled out. He pressed on and arrived late with his group of 3 ships. The 3 ships had left from the UK. He was supposed to receive a grant of 100,000 acres around what is now Perth, but somehow received nearly 250,000 acres. He was also involved in the massacre of 15 aboriginal people in retribution for the murder of one of his servants. He was also a cousin of Sir Robert Peel, the bloke who started the modern Metropolitan Police Force in the UK.

Is that what you wanted Dot.
And more importantly, how did you know that little bit of history?
Cheers

One for the aviation buffs. In 1910, someone designed, built and flew an Australian made aircraft. What was his name and where was it?
