Australian Trivia Only

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Ok, a travel question.
We camped at an old railway station, there is a museum on the station telling the history of the area, very interesting old photos & info, where did we stay?

No Cuppa, not thinking of Ravenshoe, but it is in Qld, think I was a bit vague, there was a train disaster near by when pylons collapsed, bridge fell & train ended up in flooded creek.

I reckon you've probably nailed it Bob. I'd never heard of it.

Correct Bob, we stayed at Bogantungan several years ago for a couple of days, we found the history of the area very interesting, we actually stayed at the station, a lady arrived to clean the toilet & opened the museum for us, we walked down to the creek & bridge, as the article that Cuppa posted stated certainly nothing left of the thriving town.

Bob have you stayed at Bogantungan? We found it in our Camps 6 book.

Yes Shirley we stayed there in 2018 didn't get to see the museum only the story on the board outside.
Apparently the town was on the flat the other side of the railway line must have been a lot of people there there was 20 something pubs.
Or maybe it was Bernie's home town :o
