You are or were in an isolated town. That is good too.
Grab a permit to drive an unregistered vehicle & get it back to SA & then get it registered as a "Mobile Caravan Vehicle"
No gas, electricity or anything needed.
Only once did I get questioned and that was by a caravan park. He wanted to know if the 240V was certified to connect to his bollard.
Just said "of course it is".

Yes, we are back in SA Mid-North. What of the ‘over the pits’ rule for over 4500kg in SA?

Yes I believe a few changes have been introduced recently.
They are more roadworthy related I believe.??
