Strange & different vans?

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Nice scenery painted on it but the unit is butt-ugly in my opinion??

There seems to be so many different brands on the market & several imports too, we've been looking to buy one.

I get the idea of the solar panels on the rear awning/window cover, but what's with the blackout down the side? Is the owner trying to pretend the top half is not there? :?

I thought the same Ray. If it's still here I might take a closer look.
It looks like it is one long lift up sun visor over top of the 'proper' windows.
Then again it may just be tinted window??

Looks like one of the Kimberley Kamper Kruiser vans. They have gone bust. Those tinted windows were standard on some models.

When I enlarged the pic to the max, it looked like the window blisters were integral with the black bit.
Can't imagine KK would build a separate rigid panel over the top of a 'proper' wall and include another level of blister windows in it. The distortion from several layers of curved perspex would render the view unreadable from inside. (Not to mention the problem with dust accumulating between the panels.)
And the vertical lines seem to line up perfectly. (Unless they're tie-downs.) From the angle you took the pic, a separate awning/flap would tend to misalign at the crossover point. It's clear from the wheel positions that you were not dead-square side-on.
Maybe it's an enormous, three-person surfboard (three depressions in the middle) clipped to the van's outside because it's too long for a roof rack?

Nice rendition of the Red Centre, though... I'll give them that.

Ray
