wild wooly weather!!!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

wild wooly weather!!!

Post by BruceS »

RobertnotBob can you please stop sending this weather over the hill please?
Had a lovely visit from Ray & Joy (Greynomad) today & after they left the storm hit!!
I'm thinking they had a VERY strong tail wind back to Loxton!!
Was Girt fixed when you arrived Ray?

Yes!😃
All fixed. Went down the pit to inspect Max’s handiwork & all looking good.
Even had the correct part shipped from USA! 😝
(I did check the box of bits before leaving home...)
All we have to do now is load Supercar on the trailer and point Girt in a generally Easterly direction. 😁
Regards & God bless,
Ray

If anyone has been to Robe, SA during the winter when the cray fishing fleet are 'up on the hard' they will understand that if one boat blows/falls off of it's props, a domino effect results in many boats all being tipped on their sides.
Well the wind today did exactly that & also took half the roof off of the processing factory in the boat haven facility.
What a mess!!!

Was an interesting trip back from Murray Bridge last night, about equal parts sideways as forward. Fortunately the house is nicely sheltered by the hill behind and the hill behind that, so the roof is still on the back patio .... anyone who has visited will understand what was meant by that
The street sweeper was doing its thing up and down the Mannum main street this morning, collecting up all the tree bits and other stuff that appeared yesterday. The workshop seems to have weathered the storm ok, haven't been up stairs yet to see how much came in through the air flaps, but I'm guessing it won't be too serious.

Interesting how the van was blown off the chassis, without overturning either the tug or the chassis.
