Quick Tumby Bay trip

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Quick Tumby Bay trip

Post by Riverlander »

Had a quick trip to Tumby and back for my mum's 100th birthday. Fought with strong winds all the way over.( Three fuel stops on the way over and one on the way back) Stopped at Yeldnuckie Weir ( Cleve) on the way over as the winds got to the point of being dangerous. Lovely spot and would highly recommend it. Good trip back with little wind. Used the air-con on heat for two nights but without sunshine the batteries suffered and had to use the diesel heater on the last night. Should have taken the gen-set. My old Mum. Not to bad for 100 :D

Congratulations on your Mum's 100th birthday John!
Did she get a message from the Queen?
My Mum didn't quite make it but got close.

Yes. One from all of them. We were hoping the Queen wold last long enough as I don't think she would have been impressed with a letter from Charles.

How wonderful for you all to enjoy this milestone. Looking at your Mum’s pic and the one of one of your sons with you on Facebook, the apples didn’t fall far from the tree. Your Mum must be very proud.
Cheers

Great to see your mum celebrating. Obviously still playing with a full deck.
Hope it was a great day for you all.
Me ‘n’ her.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Certainly a great Age to reach, seems so many living longer lives these day, a very Happy Birthday to your Mum & wonderful that you were able to be there with her to celebrate.
I wouldn't want a letter from Charlie either👎👎
