Re: Ready to Give Up
Ah, yes when put together, can see the problem. It happens so much, doubt there's a day where don't see at least one or two spelling mistakes in every newspaper and on tv. We didn't get to spelling restaurant before I opted out of school, but libraries and a dictionary given to me by a nice librarian helped me overcome that reality of life.

Re: Ready to Give Up
To beat the Punctuation Police I use an app called Grammarly.
I found it when looking for something else and added it to my list of extensions.
I thought I was pretty good at spelling etc but the red line under some words shows me the wrong of my ways quick smart.

I use "language tool" in "Openoffice" and "Grammarly" in browsers, makes a huge difference.

I do what I can do and if people do not like it bad luck. Some had a good education some were treated like shit by their teachers that is life.

"tanks" here---
I had good teachers at my schooling but they never taught me how to remember the things I forgot. We all get bye with what we have.
I say to my grand kids; I didn't get this far in life by knowing nothing and never making a mistake. Experience is another name for a mistake, and I have a lot of experience.
Keith.

Experience is recognising a mistake when you make it the second time True knowledge is realising it won't work like that before you do the same thing a third timeKeith Morris wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 8:21 am "tanks" here---

"tanks" here ---Terry,
The more I use my laptop the more I realise my mistakes.
I am too bloody scared to hit the wrong key now due to my past trials.

Re: Ready to Give Up
Tanks, I wouldn't worry about it. I often hit the wrong key, or even more often, the auto correct function on my phone types in what it thought I wanted to say and it all goes pear shaped. That's one of the good things about forums though, there is always someone ready to help show you where a mistake was made.Keith Morris wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 9:25 am "tanks" here ---Terry,

The only bloke that has never made a mistake is the one that only ever does what his wife tells him to do.
