Have some lovely gentle rain setting in. Only about 3mm so far but there seems to be a lot to come from the radar. Our local forecast is expecting 10-20 mm and they may be right this time. Hope it carries on down through Victoria as they sure need it.

About 08:00 we got a 30 second shower... didn't even settle the dust, and evaporated off our brick paving in less than two minutes.

It's expected to sweep down in an easterly direction.
If its the same system that swept thru here in WA it will certainly slow the fires down .

Well. It tried hard all day and we only ended up with 5.8 mm and it looks like it is all over. Very disappointing as they were forecasting 10-20mm and the radar looked very promising. Perhaps I stuffed it up by throwing out fertilizer on the lawn to be washed in. Sorry Ray we cannot spare any for you.
