Greynomad

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

UPDATE Just received a message from Ray. He has ten broken ribs, cracked both sternum and right shoulder blade and on drip pain relief in intensive care. He has high risk of pneumonia but being looked after well. Thinks he will be in for a couple of weeks.

Lost my balance climbing out of my trailer at the tip. Still can’t figure out how.
In Albury Base Hospital’s ICU, doped to the eyeballs on Fentanyl.
Broke 10 of my 12 ribs on the right (some broken in two places), cracked sternum & right shoulder blade.
Doc says minimum two weeks here in ICU before moving to a ward bed. Duration: ???
Currently, tap-dancing is off the agenda for a while... 🙄
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Drs & nurses are absolute tops, closely monitoring me, as pneumonia is a high risk, and could be terminal. 😳
Still, I’ve faced that sort of thing before & beaten it.
Apart from that, life’s a beach! 😁

How could you hurt yourself so much in such a little trailer ? Good to see you back on here.

Hi Ray.

Whilst I was in the early stages of building my Isuzu based motorhome, you had your fall in WA, with resultant injuries.
At that stage I was able to incorporate a hand rail, beside my access stairs, and ever since has been referred to as my "Ray Handrail". I think of you often!
I suppose I will now have to build a handrail around my trailer, which carries the Suzuki Vitara, and boat on trailer, to avoid doing "a Ray".

All the best and hope you have a fat and full recovery.
