A Wee Scottish Tale:

Post by Chuck »

A Golfer is cupping his hand to scoop water from a Highland burn in St Andrew’s golf course.

A Groundskeeper shouts “Dinnae drink tha waater! Et’s foo ae coo’s Shite and Pish!"

The Golfer replies, ”My good fellow. I’m from England. Would you be kind enough to repeat that for me in English?"

The Keeper replies, “ I said use two hands - you’ll spill less that way."

So if the golfer had been a Kiwi, I presume the groundskeeper would have fetched a cup... 😎

I reckon you are right Norman. Dougie from Dunedin, a workmate, has a better scotch accent than a Scotsman.
