Thanks everyone, after reading and having advice from those that have gone ahead with installing solar, we have decided not to go forward with it mainly because it takes so many years to re coupe the costs and not intending to stay here for too much long. Thanks again.

A wise move Dottie. Spend the $$ on putting solar, batteries and inverter in the bus and it can power the new place when you are there and live comfy when travelling ...... and quieter :D :lol:
