Chop it off with a gas axe & put an Aussie one on. You might get NSW inspectors raise their eyebrows at that one.

Mine was passed by NSW RTA, and many are used throughout Aust especially on A-Frames.
Them is big cahoonas Dot...available at http://www.btatowingequipment.com.au/Towballs.html and probably at Supercheap or Repco if you asked?

Are you sure that they are still legal, I thought in NSW they were slowly replaced with the new size.

All I am asking for is is there anyone who might have a 50mm tow ball I am looking at it this was. The Roadmaster make Falcon,
Stowmaster etc & are all imported from the states and are compliant with Oz rules, some come with the 50mm ball ours didn't so I need one to fit the tow thingy. (thanks bobk)

Dot, If I were you I would just get a new 2" ball from the link that Jon posted. It may cost a little more but being new it will be the approved type. Most of the old 2" balls were 2 piece and had a small shank from memory and used to flop around in the towbar and work loose.

have emailed them to see what gives ie any reps in SA. Better to be new and tight than old and floppy so they say!!
