We did tell next door last year that we saw a snake laying on the pathway next to her water heater but it went into the undergrowth.. Then she saw one out the back of her jungle and called the snake catcher,, by the time he arrived she didn't have a clue where it was.. 
This morning G showed our neighbour at the back the dead thing and he was happy as he had also seen one "escaping" from the jungle and before he could do anything his dog got it but the dog is getting older and losing her eye sight and he is worried what could happen. Their yard like ours is kept clear and mowed, why should some lazy twerp put us and our animals and property at risk?? Some one over yonder said snakes come for mice around bird cages,, yes they do but we also have traps and baits down, might get a mouse every now and again, might get into the poop for killing them now
