The Good (?) Doctor
Judging by the latest promo for The Good Doctor, looks like they’ve jumped the shark.
(Look in Wikipedia: ‘Jumping the shark’ if the above does not make sense to you.)

I think the truly sad part is you've watched it at all Ray, along with watching other TV soap operas that have tried to hold on well after they should have been allowed to die a natural death to even think of giving it a reference to the same group Seems social isolating is already taking its toll
I wonder when the re-runs of "Game of Thrones" will start, I don't think it will be a case of "if" but rather "when"

Re: The Good (?) Doctor
T1,
I watched the first four or five episodes of Series 1.
By about ep4 I recognised that it was always the same story, just different diseases.
Since then I have only seen the promos. That’s enough to get the drift of the storyline.
The latest one, where he’s trapped by an earthquake seems to take it to the level of “jumping the shark”.
As I said in the OP, if you’re not familiar with the expression, go to Wikipedia.
Ps. Never watched any of GoT...

Re: The Good (?) Doctor
I started to watch the first episode and by the first advert I'd had enough !
Having lived next door to a lad with similar problems I realised just how impossible it all was and dissed it straight away. He went to the Vict Special School and all he ever learned was to play with himself and had the attention span of an insect.
Nowadays I can't even stand the ads for it and have to mute the TV and look away ( but this program isn't the only one for that treatment )

The TV plays Bluetooth directly into my hearing aids, so it was a major event to block out the ads. I discovered that holding down either hearing aids programming button disconnected and reconnected the Bluetooth, so that problem was solved, still have the problem of Margaret trying to talk to me while the show is on ..... but that is just a 1st world male problem

Re: The Good (?) Doctor
I guess one of he benefits of having had very minimal exposure to TV for some time, (& even when we have we rarely stray from the ABC) & none for the foreseeable future is that I have zero idea about whatever this Dr series you are talking about. I'm guessing it's not Dr Who ..... but even the last few times I've seen that it hasn't been up to scratch.

Re: The Good (?) Doctor
Cuppa,
We stopped watching Dr Whom about four series ago.
We reckon the writers are smoking something more interesting than tobacco.
EXPLANATION:
The Good Doctor follows a high performing autistic lad who graduates as a doctor and works under (as I read it) the mentorship of the hospital CEO.
INVARIABLY he solves mysterious illnesses by his total recall of the textbooks or makes miraculous cross-links when the other doctors are treating for the wrong illness and are puzzled when the patient doesn’t respond to treatment.
Generally it was a case of ‘same story, insert name of disease here.’
