Know a guy who saw a heap of them at the tip, didn't know what they were so under metres of dirt now, bugger. Most of the guys doing it here are just after the fee I have found.

In SA you can apply for a blank one to fill out yourself if it's a 'once off' build. (trailer in particular)

I bought my blank plate for my Teardrop build from the local trailer builders here in Melbourne, cost me $10 and I stamped it with VIN and other details.

The plate is not a problem, it is the numbers on it that matter :)

Apart from an insurance claim, you could probably get away with stamping your own.
In all our "mechanicals" (Qld annual inspections), never more than a glance at mod plates.
But at T1 can attest, if they can find any way out.............

I stamped my own plate........mind you it's a 360kg Teardrop ;) not a bluddy 20t bus..... :shock:
