I would say the white pipe is for the tv antenna.

I think Terry might be right. A few have put those breathers on their cassette systems.

Breathers on a cassette? what next?? I wouldn't allow the contents of my cassette to breathe, I hear nothing when "they" scream for air :) :) :)

I would have thought you would need to vent those fumes outside Dottie so the gas alarms didn't go off all the time, I hear Chuckie has a flame arrester on his vent to stop flash backs exploding the loo while he was still downloading volatile substances

Yes the little white pipe had me intrigued. Turns out it must have had a radio aerial on it. The TV had a fitting on the rear bumper and a wire running under the van. The 12 volt has wires everywhere but I put a battery in and amazingly it all worked. Had no faith in the rooftop air-con but had it running, whisper quiet and cold.
cheers John
PS I now have this mental pic of Chuckie on his loo with the flame arrester. Don't think I will sleep tonight.

Just had a look at the little white pipe again and originally would have been or the TV and later used for the radio as it happened the be handy. It is now in a heap with other bits that will not be needed. Will be good when I have a bit of spare time to really start pulling it apart.
Now I won't be able to sleep tonight.
Cheers

So does that mean you will be knocking down some more concrete walls seeing as you will not be sleeping?

Is the electrics cupboard in the area roughly between the 240vac inlet and the white pipe above window height? If it is will the outside panelling covering that area be removed? The last Evernew I did... or maybe the one before, had the battery right down the back, the electrics cupboard above the lounge and one of the biggest birdsnet's I've ever seen (besides Wayne Coolabah's mess) Wiring would be much easier if there was a path from the electrical box down to the lounge area.
