Here's a page where you can post those ridiculous warnings you find on stuff, like "Warning: Food will be hot after reheating".
Here's a start:
Bought a packet of flour. Idly going through the Nutritional Information panel on the side of the box, and found this:
Well, DER!
A box of flour contains wheat flour. Who'da guessed??
… and don't eat it without cooking it first.
Damn!! I was going to grab a handful for a snack.

Re: Redundant warnings.
Who would have thought that a milk carton would contain milk?
This is the warning on the side of the box: What a surprise! It contains milk!
Just like it says in BIG LETTERS on the front! What a coincidence!

Re: Redundant warnings.
The first one could be a get out of liability thing if someone just read the flour part and mistook it for maybe rice flour or something and they were gluten intolerant.
The milk one can't claim that sort of escape clause because it would need to say cow's milk to differentiate it from almond milk or soy milk or what ever, or whole milk to differentiate it from lactose free milk that those like me who have developed lactose intolerance over the yrs .... just took me a long time to realise that was what was causing the problem

Re: Redundant warnings.
Must have been on small goods sold from their deli dept, everything else has the best before or use by dates printed on the packaging as it is being packed.
I worked at a milk bottling factory that advanced the use by date by a day during the week and two days on Friday for the milk travelling by truck to Goulburn from Moss vale, a whole 68km away, but the truck was packed in the morning before the bottling started, so the milk arrived in Goulburn with the date stamp it arrived there ...... they never got caught
The milk could have been in the factory vats for up to 3 days and no idea how long it was held at the farms before it was collected .... fresh milk ... yeah, right
If it started to turn in the vats, they pumped it into tankers and it went to the Robertson cheese factory ... when they closed the bottle factory in Moss vale, the Robertson cheese factory closed as well because they didn't have a supply of cheap milk

Re: Redundant warnings.
Yes it happens.
Wendy got the sack a while ago when working in a small bakery. She refused to put some sliced bread into a new bag & new plastic bag closer with a new date.
Question?
If I get an expiry date tattooed on my forehead will it mean I live that long?
