Gary installed his UNDER the van, ran the gas pipes and electric cable up into the wardrobe and shortened the wardrobe door by the height of the outlet part. About 2.5 to 3" at a guess.
He had a tin guard made up to stop bouncing stones damaging the under van part.
His choice was limited by the pop top and the size of the van .... single axle & about 16ft.
