Re: Posting Photos
Ok, Ok, who's still having trouble posting pictures?
Theres a couple of posts to help as well as the FAQ's above.
faq.php
I think the main trouble is understanding the compression settings to reduce the size in kb's. There is NO restriction in pixels at all.
I think it's set at 500kb's at the moment. If a photo can't be reduced to under this then there is some learning to do.
Yell out if you still need help.

Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.

Re: Posting Photos
Hi Brad!
If they are posted (& hosted) on our forum (2nd choice on the create post screen) then you get a 'thumbnail' in the actual post that can be clicked on to view full size.
If the photo is posted via the "posImage" link (1st option) then the picture is actually uploaded to & hosted on PostImage's website & linked to the position on your post so it displays as the size it's uploaded at.
The difference?
Some apparently find it easier using the PostImage site.
It's less load on our server.
It's less storage space used on our server.
The page will load quicker.
The bad bits?
If PostImage site crashes or is closed down all those photos hosted by them will not be seen.
You back on your Island Paradise?

Re: Posting Photos
thought since this was bought up again I would add 1.2c (taxed)
Right clicking on a picture will usually give you a "send to" option, scroll down to "mail recipient" and click.
Mr computer will then add the picture to an email and give you a choice of sizes, small, medium etc.
Once he has done that you can cut and paste the attachment where you like
Same result, different route
