This morning I accidently turned my camera off (Skype) & can't remember how Office Works showed me what to do. I think he hit Fn & something else. have done that with all the numbers (one at a time!) but that has not worked. Bugger. Saw that neighbour Catriana was on line & tried to call her instead of going out in the wind- how lazy is that

Try This.
Click Start, then enter camera in the search box and you should get something like "Web Camera Application" to click on. That's what starts it for me.

From memory you can turn it on from within Skype.

I go to my computer and its just sitting there. Although i did lose it once, just downloaded from a web site...

Have gone into the settings etc & will not work. I am beginning to think that there is something wrong in the computer with the camera as it should turn on with Fn & F6.

While the computer is on and running, unplug the camera, then plug it back in, it should see it as new hardware and reconnect it.

Then I don't recommend you take it out Have you try the magic shut down reboot?
