Fined

Post by Dot »

I got a traffic infringement notice in the mail today and it was not me but the male member of this address doing the extra 9ks over the limit. I want to know any suggestions that might string this out seeing as there are thousands of others not paying their fines etc. Is the trick to appeal, appeal, appeal etc? or plead for leniency because of a good driving record??

Not when scumbags like my nephew never have a licence and never pay a fine I will not pay up without a proven case on their behalf. Remember it is "Alleged" Watch the ch 9 ACA tonight on the magistrates courts. Personally I would rather do the time but they want $$.

Extenuating circumstances? Ask for leniency!

Ask for proof?

Rather hard to see G getting from our place to the turn off and doing 59ks in that short time, now if he was in the prancing horse...

Pay a dollar over the fine. They will send you the dollar refund as a cheque. Don't cash or bank it. The points supposedly don't count until you have cashed the cheque.
Don't know how true it is, we just cough up, and put it down to road maintenance.
If its gone to you, the first delay tactic is to deny you were driving and then wait till they ask you who is. See if you can get someone on Gumtree to wear the points etc for you. Otherwise dob in the driver. That will give you a couple of months
You will have to pay eventually, so suck it up oh Queen of the Banal :)
