Just had a ph call from Bob n Bev and he had a call from Wendy & Ash who told him that there is now a 2 week limit at Elphinstone. Terry that is a good idea, maybe everyone could come to cheer or boo when the verdict is read out. So come on Terry where will it be? lets get this set in stone..

Yeah, the weather is fine here at the moment but I expect it will be cold come July. If it needs to be NSW then maybe Newcastle George's idea of Kendal might be the go. Too far in the future for me to know if we could go but certainly Lake Elphinstone would be too far away for us to attend..... unless things change dramatically between now and then.

There is a two week limit to camping at Lake Elphinstone. There is no potable water but you are able to get potable water in Glenden next to the IGA which is 24 klms from the Lake. If you have any other queries please do not hesitate to call.

One of the reasons Qld was nominated this year was to get away from the southern cold in the middle of winter.

I appreciate that a number of you will not want to travel too far to any gathering, however, so far all of the forum gatherings have either been in NSW, Vic or SA & those members living outside of those states have, so far, had to travel greater distances to get to them.

I really think that we should stick with Qld this year & Lake Elphinstone is still on the list.

Perhaps someone not too far away could check it out before any negative comment/decision is made.

I get enough of the summer as it is and appreciate the autumn and winter therefore, heading into QLD for more of the same is not for me, or Julie.
