are they Gigavac units? They have a dual coil system that has a heavy current draw to pull the contactor closed quickly to stop arcing and chatter, then it drops out one coil and has a low draw coil to hold the contractor closed. Watch out for the parasitic draw from the CTek stuff, I was quite surprised by the standby losses these things have, inverters will steal a bit as well even if they are switched off. The quick and dirty way to find what's stealing the power use the touch test, if it's warm it's eating power, if it's hot it's eating a lot of power. Those continuous duty solenoids are notorious for it, touch one of those when they've been on for a few hrs and you you'll have no doubt about how much power it eats

Now Ray has been going on for some time (and with good reason I should add) that the Suzuki Jimny - being light weight, suitable transmission, etc., etc. - can go anywhere, even places where the big boys can't go, and even can help the big boys out. So, Ray, please explain this?

Hmmm..... the tracks look unused Steve, still got the cable ties on them. The shovel could be a sign of a well trained bush camper that actually knows how to dig a hole

Then there's the obvious Apple inclusion......... sublime advertising?
He's obviously just carrying that equipment to help out Toyota victims of the sand trap!

You don't suppose it could have actually been .......? It was parked between a church and Aldi on a Sunday morning.

Perhaps it is for crossing a small ravine - but then you would only need two.

Steve,
He's carrying four tracks in case he has to help someone with dual rears out of a bog.
Never had to do it yet... as T1 pointed out, they're still cable-tied together.
He's obviously capable of driving over the soft stuff to deliver the tracks to someone in strife.
And he's obviously a discerning person - witness the sticker in the top right of his rear window! :)
Regards & God bless,
Ray

I couldn't believe my luck when I saw it. The Apple logo caused me to think, 'it might be Ray', but as soon as I saw the tracks I knew it couldn't be - especially on bitumen.
