Just joined
Hi, all.
SWMBO and I just sold the house in Brissie and are now on the road permanently in an ex-rental 2006 Talvor, flat towing a Hyundai Getz called Dimples, so named after a brief but savage hailstorm.
FYI the Talvor now has two big solar thingies on top with a coupla boxes of sparks, an inverter whatsis and a regulator to display multicolored flashing lights. It also has huge water tanks which are not kept full but are there just in case. On the last day of a very pleasant shakedown cruise while SWMBO was back in NZ all the air in one of the steer tyres went to the top causing huge amounts of grief, bad language and some expense. The bus has subsequently been modified and has sufficient gear in the boot to change the wheels on an eight ton truck.
We're currently in Caloundra with the rellies for Xmas, after a very pleasant few days north of Imbil at the Borumba deer Park. Very peaceful and relaxing, no gennies allowed, no noise after 10PM and a very chilly creek for those suffering from the heat.
Next stop is Brunswick Heads in the New Year.
Almost forgot - our travelling companions are two Aussie Terriers who consider themselves to be bonsai Alsatians and are thereby invincible.
See you on the back roads,
shonky

Hi and a warm welcome to the friendliest forum around.. Love your furkids, what's their names etc I just love dogs. Actually was having a wonderful time a couple of days ago down town patting a lovely Aussie terrier. Enjoy yourselves, and by the way we love pics of your rig here as well..

Hi Shonky and family, welcome to the forum. Is your Travellor built on the VW Crafter base? How does it go towing the Getz?
That anoying habit of the air staying at the top the tyre on one corner is the most anoying when it's a front corner, especially the drivers side front corner, the whole vehicles seems to want to check out the traffic coming the other way at a rather inconvienent moment when that happens. Then the cars seem to want to get a close as possible and scatter all the wheel nuts and hub caps and stuff right in the curcial part of the job, figuring out how the spare wheel comes out of it's holder.
Hope you like it here and join in and we get to meet up at a rest stop some where

Hi, all.
Dot - the boy dog is 11 and answers to "Monty" whereas the 8yr old girl dog is called Steffie because she goes Graf Graf.
TI Terry - The bus is a Talvor, similar to the earlier wannabegones, but with the double over the cab and the flat roof. It has a 2.4 Turbo diesel and a six speed manual gearbox. SWMBO had no trouble driving it recently with Dimples tied on behind and all the tanks full. (2@175ltrs and 1@100ltrs.) Yrs truly was in his usual role - after a beer or two - as navigator and spotter of speed cameras.
Managed to avoid the usual traffic probs by having the flattie just inside the entrance to the Southport Yacht Club. Crafty, eh. I'll discuss the finer points of the predicament with you over a soothing ale sometime, hopefully sooner than later.

Poor little fella, but at least he got to spend Christmas with you, I guess you must be feeling a bit shattered at the moment, remember all the good times, they leave special foot prints in our hearts and memories.
