Caravan Pole, Peg & Rope Tray

Post by SteveW »

This was something I made for our Jayco Sterling Caravan some time ago. It might suit someone and should fit any caravan that has a similar gap between the body and the a-frame. You will see, looking at the photos, that it fits snugly under the nose cone of the caravan and sits on the a-frame - it fixes with a couple of tabs that are flush under the joist. The front "joist" of the chassis is 100mm. The height of the tray is 90mm so that it fits snugly beneath the nose cone. It is 2100mm wide and measures 450mm front to rear.

I didn't clean it before the photo so that you can see the outline of the front of the caravan.

It opens from either side and locks with a padlock on the right side.

A couple more photos:

It will be clean!

Can't tell you Dot - I'll get into trouble.

Actually, I've been back and forth to Adelaide a couple of times with trailer loads of stuff for others - you know what it is like when downsizing a house with 70 years of crap. If you don't know, ask Terry or Bruce. or anyone else who has done it.

Couldn't call in. Among the reasons were your hospital/doctor visits and that I was travelling with others.

Good enough reasons I guess. Next time give us a call.
