I removed the house batteries, cleaned all terminals, refitted and made some adjustments to the solar controller and battery monitor.

I completed a 20 hour test of our 8yo MH house batteries with the result being that of the original 260Ahs only 180Ahs remain.

When is it on Wayne? The website shows that it was to be April 13/14. Has it been postponed ?

Tried yet again to get this Electrodacus solar controller to do what I want. At least it's closer, only sends the cell monitor into hysterics every 10 mins now instead of constantly once the battery is fully charged. It doesn't seem to understand that the end of charge cell voltage means it should stop charging when this point is reached At least the "OMG, better turn everything off" cell voltage still works, I just don't allow it to turn the loads off, just the solar

So only 90Ah before the 24v under load is reached (seem to remember you had a 24v system.) Lost around 30% capacity so only 70% left, or 20% before the dreaded 50% discharge limit is reached resulting in a rapid death from this point on if you exceed the 50% of the original capacity each discharge. Guess who will be looking for new batteries very soonNewcastle George wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 2:38 pm I completed a 20 hour test of our 8yo MH house batteries with the result being that of the original 260Ahs only 180Ahs remain.
