Found on Gumtree a bloke with 2 of these inverters for $200 each.
I'm going to have a look at them next week - they are supposedly never used, still in the box, bought 3 years ago.
I only want one, so wondered if anyone else might be interested with the second one.
I might be able to get them for a better price if I get the two of them.
Here's the add.

He's not back in Adelaide till Tuesday and will call me then.
Also, any feedback on these, are they OK in your experince or knowledge.
I have seen that they are power hungry and have seen some mods done to them, but that's a bit beyond me.
Anyway, any feedback or interest let me know.
Cheers,
Power Star 24v 6000 watt Inverter.

Are these the W7 type inverters? The fan needs to be turned around so it blows the hot air out so they don't overheat but they are very tough units. What other mods have you heard about?El Gringo wrote:Found on Gumtree a bloke with 2 of these inverters for $200 each.

Yes the W7.
I have a 3000w one already, but also never hooked up, but have been thinking for a while that it will be underpowered once we do finally get the Lithiums installed.
The main concern seems to be the high power usage in standby mode.
Read a bit online by this guy, who i think is also in Adelaide.

Complete changeover of the transformer.
Way beyond me, but if the guy is somewhere near local, thought it might be worth contacting him.
Cheers,
BTW, would you be interested in one of them, or know someone who would?

Thanks for the links, I wonder if I can rebuild one of those transformers into the original case.El Gringo wrote:Yes the W7.

I already accidently have a brand new one of these things in 24v because I gave the link to the wrong inverter to the owner of last van I did, so I'm now the proud owner of a brand new 24v inverter and had to but the correct 12v model to replace it I guess I can always find a buyer for another one at some stage if I can get this mod inside the box.

Well, got the big mother of a thing, 48KG, had my jeans falling off trying to carry the damn thing.
Excellent deal though as it came with the remote ready to plug in as well, which my other one didn't. Cheers,
