Check this out before giving them or selling the.

I've heard the same reports here in Vic Tom.
Apparently if the vehicle is registered as 7 seats, it must have 7 seats for a RWC.
You can have it certified by a registered engineer back to 5 seats, but that will possibly cost ya $500

Phil, it would be a good idea to check this out before you 'gift' those seats to someone who gave theirs away without checking ;)

Definitely. Wrap them in plastic and put them in the ceiling cavity.

Bought an unregistered dual cab tip truck last year, took out the back seats to give more room to the dogs. When I took it to get registered, was told to put back the seats and take them out after rego.

Reminds me of the King of a tribe on a far off idyllic tropical island:
Every year, on his birthday, his tribe would give him a new throne. However, he liked the throne he had been using for many years so he stored the new thrones in the attic. One day the ceiling fell in and all the thrones landed on him causing his death. Which just goes to show:-
People who live in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones.
