Spotted this in a local bookshop, and just had to buy it! The title was inspired by Tony Abbott's mangling of a common saying... :P (I think he meant "repository".) :roll:
It's a lot more fun & more readable than the "bible" of journos, Fowler's Modern English Usage.

I think 'pedantry' (peds, pedals, feet, walking, mobile) should be the opposite of 'sedentary' ( immobile,sitting, seated)

That would be much more better :D

Was cogitating while on the ride-on this morning...
If you can’t PREvent something going wrong, but can fix it afterwards, do you POSTvent it? 😝
And if someone says to you, β€œI told you so!” are they a POSTcursor to the event?
What if you miss an appointment and re-book it, is that POSTarranged?
