Happy Straya Day!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Happy To Be An Australian Day everybody. Did the right community thing and went to the breaky by the river .... but it was all but over by the time we got there  They did the first speeches and for once the Welcome to Country wasn't a totally subservient type of thing but more a welcoming thing with a great talk by the chosen indigenous lady with a grandson on her hip who was only "of colour" (as the yanks would say) by association I'm guessing. It was a great symbol and her whole presentation was about how great it was to be part of such a great community, that the colour of the skin or place of birth meant little but the attitude of being part of the greater good was what it was all about. They then had a presentation of an award to a young lady who seemed to be into everything so I have no idea how she had time for life, or school by the look of her age.
We made a some what was intended to be a discrete exit at about that point because I still had a lot of stuff to get done on the Hino so we can make the trip to WA as soon as possible, maybe Sunday evening or Monday ......
Certainly warm enough and a bright sunny day for all those who are enjoying the river activities, half their luck

Happy Australia Day to all, we have a very busy bay everyone out enjoying the water & last night we had a very rowdy party until about 3am campers over in the bush on the lakes edge, sounded a little scary, one wonders if it was only alcohol.

My watch, computer and time-stamp on the forum said 12:40. (My watch & 'pooter actually said 00:40😜) I had also just finished watching the midnight news on ABC NEWS24, which is a 30 minute bulletin.
I tend to believe my watch... and the ABC’s scheduling.
