We visited there a few months ago, and still got the C*** members discount AND unlike a lot of C/p's they have a dog friendly area and also an off leash area. And the whole place is huge. You don't have to park near anyone if you don't want to. We would go there again. Unlike a few places we have stayed in over the past few years.

Interesting. I had other comments in this post (NOT naming any names!), but when I tried to submit them, I was forbidden to view this page.... When those comments were removed, everything returned to sweetness & light. The magic combination seems to be the word which describes persons with interests in a company, and the name of a location. Can't even mention 'sha re s'.

One of that club's ex-directors was an enthusiastic backer of the club's venture into property. This has morphed into the Club's RV Parks program.

The list of shareholders of some caravan parks makes interesting reading.

I spent two winters in Casino, volunteering my skills with a router and other woodworking skills, to produce the street signs & cabin nameplates for what was at the time a club venture.

I also set up a temporary closed-circuit video system and did cameraman duty for a practical class in M/h renovation, screened to an audience sitting outside watching live-stream video as the renovations were done inside.

There was a real club atmosphere there in those days. Upwards of 30 people at happy hour in the BBQ shed, all mixing & chatting.

On a later visit to the Casino Big4, there were EIGHT others at happy hour, and the four permanent house residents didn't mix with those of us in the 'caravan park' area. Didn't even refer to it as the 'motorhome area', even though both us couples were in m/hs!

The m/h area was half full... only two couples came to happy hour, and we invited the other couple. Had knock-backs from the others... they'd been there a while longer than us.

We didn't bother attending a second night either. Had our own happy hour with several other motorhomers at our vehicles.

We also sponsored the planting of two trees. On our Big4 visit, a permanent caravan resident had plonked potplants in front of our plaques.

Yeah Robert! We don't shoot hijackers on this forum..... we just quarantine their motorhomes for 3 or 4 months!!!
