I will be over your way eventually, just have to finalise things, get a new Van built and get back on the road. Time line is probably 2023, but still have the old van so might be sooner, just want one with a bathroom these days. Especially with a grey water tank set up.
Dot said your having a battle with shingles. Have you got it mild, medium or bad?
Hope it goes away soon.
Cheers and talk soon
Wayne
I would have put it in the bad category a week ago, they put me in hospital in an isolation ward/room and drip pumped 4 bags of the anti viral into me over the 24hrs I was in there.
I thought I was past the worst of it, but it appears to have found a path the damaged nerves in my neck (result of the MVA in 2004) so I now get a roughly 1 min pain pulse in my right eye that gradually spreads across the right side of my head. The burning pain is off the numbers scale. I am on that much medication at the moment I'm in fairy land a lot of the time.
Fortunately, my eyespecialist has been checking it every week and says it hasn't gone into my eye itself, just all around it. I was due for the needles in both eyes yesterday for the macular degeneration, but I put it off till next weeks becauseI was paranoid I'd get a spasm attack just as he was putting the needle in my eye ...and that would not be good

May I borrow your crystal ball when you have finished with it please Wayno xx
Careful Wayno, it's not Dotties gazing into balls that's the worry, it's when she wants to polish them to get a better view
This shingles has to be the most frustrating thing. Endone is about the only thing that will reduce the itch/ice cream headache spikes for about 4 hrs .... unfortunately the doctor only gave me 10 pills this time, so it's either the pill going to bed so I can get some sleep, or the 2am wake up scratching to crap out of myself so it settles it down. Each morning it looks like I've had a motor bike crash gone face down on the black top. I reckon I will have scratched all the hair out on the right hand side of my head by the time I finally get the upper hand on this curse of a disease.

Well, you know how it is. Golden opportunity to be a smart arse, but couldn't do it because, ya just never know what's coming around. I had a little bit of it on my face a few years ago and the doc was right on it. So I sorta know what he's feeling.
Cheers

You might have to start wearing mittens to bed T1.
Did that with the kids when they had chicken pox.
I think I'd need one of those funny coats with long sleeves that tie up at the back I wake up scrubbing my face into the pillow so I'd probably need an Ice Hockey mask as well
I am rapidly wearing the hair away up the right side of my head, and my right eye brow now looks like a 5 o'çlock shadow while the left one has more of a Johnny Howard look about it.
Googled to see how long these attacks should last and it reckoned 5 weeks, I'm at 7 weeks now and it's not easing up in the slightest ....
