Rear vision cameras/monitor.

Post by Chuck »

Looking for a decent sized monitor & camera - monitor to have 2 camera inputs. No rear vision mirror types !

I'm sure I read a post in the past few days - but not sure whether it was on this forum or not - & a comment was made regarding the cameras... & the system they use.

Anyone have any inkling of where I might have seen this - and your thoughts or ideas.

I have bought 2 or 3 cameras for the rear of the bus over the years. All from evilbay, the best buy was a folddown sun visor that had a good video screen and 2 inputs, also came with a remote (never used) it was great with our huge windscreen fold it down for shade, also fold it down for rear view or reversing. Where I got it from, evilbay a few years ago. I now have a cover over the rear camera to protect it from our extreme weather. Hope this helps, evilbay can supprise you with options

Yeah, Polaris is sitting at the top of the list so far.

If I can't find this particular post I'm referring about will end up getting one of them.

No Boss, not that one.

I've just found it on CF... it was a response from Cuppa who explained that cameras with CCD stuff were much better than those with CMOS... whatever that is...& camera angles played a big part as well. Stated that angles of between 60 - 90 were better than 120+ - they gave a truer picture rather than fisheye-tunnel vision.

Any thoughts on those comments?
