POWER OUTAGE

Post by BruceS »

Power outage this Sunday 10th February ’13.

This Sunday, the Data Centre which houses our server in will have a 10 hour power interruption to change over and increase the capacity of the supply.
During this time the data centre will be running an standby auxillary power and it is anticipated there will be no interruption to services.
If however that diesel powered generator fails we may see the server go down.
This will occur between 6.30 am and 4.00 pm.

I've emailed some 10c pieces over there so they can put them in the meter box to help prevent any outages... :D

How silly has the world become when a "Black out" is politically incorrect so it had to be changed to a "Power Outage" seriously, the world has lost the plot, are the racial sensitive now called "Sensibility Intollerant" or "Tollerance Impaired"? Are we still allowed to have "White Light" and "Red lights" & "Red Light Districts" or have the American red Indians become sensitive about that as well, possibly tje "Red Necks" could have a claim as well

haha... yes you're correct.
We're quite lucky actually as this blackout is going to be over several suburbs in Canberra.
At least we have a backup supply in out datacentre!

I was going to make a political statement but thought better of it!
If you have any friends in Canberra on Sunday tell them to have their gennies ready!

[QUOTE: Power to the suburb of Braddon in Canberra will be cut on Sunday for up to ten hours to allow for upgrades to the mains power supply.
ENDQUOTE]
