Stating the Bleeding Obvious

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Stating the Bleeding Obvious

Post by Greynomad »

Came across these in a supermarket...

I think it should be obvious that Pistachios contain nuts!

However, it seems that Cashews do NOT contain nuts!!
😳

A while back I remember reading a " Peanut Satay Sauce" bottle label with the warning "May contain nuts and traces of nut material" had me wondering just how much artificial flavouring was in it

Needless to say, I purchased neither.
I reckon even the Cashews contained nuts!

In our local Aldi's, they all have signs and arrows pointing to, and highlighting the NUTS area. You would have to be seriously distracted not to notice that nuts were available in that section

Then there is the blanket disclaimer: Machinery used to process this product could have been used to process nuts and nut related material ...... this was on a bag of walnuts and a bag of pasta ..... ummm...... no, just not worth taxing the brain on how machinery that cracked, shelled and packed walnuts also produced and packed pasta ........
