Had a new visitor yesterday...
Dunno how he managed to climb up there.
That’s the top of our 4ft high Rosemary hedge he’s sunning himself on...New visitor

Re: New visitor
The g'sons enjoyed feeding apple to the lorikeets last arvo & then two kookaburras arrived, I gave them some mince but the boys weren't game enough to feed them & of course we then had sea gulls circling. Think I posted before I had to stop feeding same because if the doors were open, the kookaburras especially would fly in & sit above the sink.

He's in really good condition .... well, don't actually know if it's a he or a she, but that doesn't change the fact it looks as though it has a good diet around your place Ray.
We get lots of scaly backs during the warmer months and the only strawberries we get are in the pot on the front verandah, the scalies eat any we plant in the garden so we've given up on trying

Re: New visitor
Dunno if he/she has them on his/her menu, but next-door neighbour keeps bees.
They just love the flowers on our hedge. (As well as the roses & irises!)
Had to wait until the blooms started dropping before trimming the hedge. The bees were still busy gathering nectar, but numbers were down, so there was less risk of me severely depleting the hive population.
Maybe our bearded dragon was after some of the stragglers...
We’re also experiencing an invasion by a flock of about 50 Sulfur Crested Cockatoos.
They are a real pest. They are nipping off the new shoots on our avenue of Mongolian Pear trees and dropping them on the driveway, causing a real mess.
They’re after the tiny pear fruit, a little berry about half the size of a grape. But they don’t even eat the whole thing, just take a bite and drop it.
Had to get out the blower-vac to clean up. Took me over an hour.
