Peter and Sandra wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:47 pm To stop the fuel pumps ticking I used a large cable tie which is about 14mm wide and 2 mm thick, put a tek screw through it into the surface of whatever you are mounting the pump on and then pull it down to about a 75mm circle. Use two smaller cable ties to attach the pump to it on the outer side away from the floor or whatever you are mounting it to. The pump is then suspended in mid air and will be totally silent.
Terry, it was Peter & Sandra's thread I was trying to explain about the tek screw.

I bought the heater that Grandad said and it arrived today . So we'll see.
Ahh.... so this was the actual info behind the what ever it was explanation you tried to say on Sunday afternoon .... I thought Tanks must have sent some of his pills over for you to try  It was great to see the both of you and share that chocolate scroll and coffee ... well you got to watch so that's sort of the same as sharing ;) Don't forget the big loops of rubber fuel hose each side of the pump to stop the vibration transferring to the fuel pipe.

G was measuring up the heater placement and needs a bit more of the ducting (pipe stuff) and a heat resistant elbow connection, sent email to the distributors requesting info and got the most stupidest reply, "What was it you are after?" DUH. Wait for their next reply   Any suggestions of where we may be able to get those 2 things??

Both Brian and I had to get more bits for our installations, more exhaust pipe and more of the hot air hose. Better to deal with one of the sellers that specialise in the accessories because they better understand what it is you need. The actual heater seller probably only brings in the heaters as a complete boxed unit so don't have extra bits ... nor speak English as a first or even second language, so communication can be painful after a while ;)
