Shopping smarter

A lot of us have homes we spend some time in. Discussions can be about any topic that may be of interest that you can think of... renovations, purchases, expenses, etc, etc

Shopping smarter

Post by Greynomad »

If you’re on a limited budget — or just prefer more of your money to stay in your pocket, rather than hand it to the big supermarkets — Aldi is extra-good value at the moment.
Two kg of chicken pieces for $4.99!
So many chicken recipes about, you don’t have to have boring meals...

Oh good! So I'm not the only one to suddenly have that tune rumbling around in what I used to refer to as my brain.
Good to know.
Thank you.

It's called an ear worm apparently ... a favourite game played between Margaret, myself and my daughter Kelly Lee when she is in our company. Either a very light hum, a few words with gaps between forcing the listener to fill in the missing bits by going through the whole song in their head, or out loud if not aware the trick is being played  Great fun, but subtlety is a must because if anyone notices what you are trying to do they block it out .... but once you get it in there, they can't get it back out for hrs ;) 8-)

Chicken & mushroom pie for dinner tonight, with roast veggies.
Cooked using solar generated electricity, SWMBO calculates the dinner cost us $1.25 a serve.
Half the pie goes into the fridge for another night’s dinner.
Another $1.25/serve dinner...

Good Ray if you like chicken, I don't even like the smell of it cooking. :D
