Finally finished the firing of glass panels. So while the last load were warming up, I did a bit of a scrounge in the stained glass supply to find enough stunning bits of glass to make the side panels. Not showing any pics until it's all finished, so that may be quite a while yet.

Very windy today blew heaps of leaves all over the place after I had blown them out yesterday so they can stay there for a few days. Dr rang and George & I are booked in for our flu jabs next Thursday. Watched Ben Hur and when it got to the scene of a man on a cross I had to laugh as I remembered the Monty Pythons scene of them singing "Always look on the brighter side of life" Rather a stupid movie nothing like the real Ben Hur of years ago., I actually had an attempt at cooking a bacon and egg pie forgot it was in the oven but the blackish bits can be cut off I think. Today the kiln was ready to be fired up with lots of bits of scrap glass to make dots and a couple of newly made shelves that have to be fired before use. So the kiln didnt have a restful day, but we did. Well we slowed down a bit. I glued bits of glass to some of the upcycling projects and rejected some of them too. I was not happy with the finished products, so they will have to be re-made. The load that they were fired in, must have been a bit hot. There were too many flat bits and not enough fancy textures, so I will have another go at that soon.

Time to start gumming some Easter eggs Dot. Only try the top quality stuff tho, not worth eating the usual garbage choc that most use in the actual eggs these days xxxx

We decided not to buy Easter eggs this year, by the time we see the kids, I reckon they would enjoy a decent box of quality chocolates instead. When his nibs came from the bakers yesterday with our hot cross bun order, the baker had thrown in a small choccy egg. The thought was lovely and his buns were pretty good too. So happy Easter everyone
