Morning Dot... & a bloody cold one here - 3.4c!!!

Did a couple of loads of washing today and tomorrow the washing machine is getting the Pine O clean treatment. Had the roller door man come and fix the squeaky beast and also did a little adjustment on the other one while he was here. Ph quote was $180 but in the pocket $150 happy with that. Had a call earlier from my friend who's dog we doggie sit for to say her mum had just died back in the UK. She was going to back to see her mum last mth but then the virus hit and now she can't get to the funeral. Time to hit the sack now so goodnight everyone x Goodnight Wayne & Nini x

Dot, sad news for your pommy mate, but she is probably safer here in Aus for a bit longer yet. I can only imagine how that must hurt. Stay sane mate xxxx

Had a lovely sparky putting in lights n smoke detectors today. It all seemed to take so long, but now cash exchanged hands and jobs done.

While sparky was working, we had a delivery dropped at the door. Yay the package was my solder order, so the creation can proceed. I did a bit more soldering this afternoon and will be doing more again tomorrow. Every foot of solder is getting closer to being a finished window.
Need that electric blanket again tonight, the frost is dropping on us.

We had a beautiful sunny day but boy, the nights are getting really chilly. Even with slippers on, my feet are feeling the ice in the air. Oh well, off to the very warm bed for me

Missed out last night as the battery of G's ph died and so did this machine. Today was rather pleasant and more washing done and dried as well. Got a couple of quotes to have our car detailed both inside and out ranging between $270 & $320. didn't think that was too bad. Put an ad on a site to sell the car and got enquiry within 10 mins and they are coming next week for a look. fingers X. Watching 4 corners and very interesting indeed, the blond orange man is getting slammed . Off to see my mate the Physio tomorrow then shall have a quick look at some cars. Had a morning chatting to a nice man from council about neighbouring property getting a humungous verandah that will affect us. He was very easy to chat with and will see how he can make any changes to the plans to protect us from the noise of their regular parties. because there is a road between us and the house, really they cant force a lot of things, but he will be suggesting the need for higher glass fences all the way around and any sound baffling treatment that he can see as practical, he will try to enforce. So it wasn't a wasted morning, but it wont change the fact that party central across from us is going to get a hell of a lot more noisy by next summer. We are hoping for a very cold winter, to keep them indoors.

I finally have finished soldering all of my window bits together. Still a way to go before it can be installed, but each day I am seeing the end of the project, yay. I think I am getting impatient to get back to kiln firing stuff.

We even have rain tonight as well as freezing temps. I dont think we are meant to be home for this sort of weather.

My physio is just fantastic, she gave me the extra special "friend" treatment ie 90 minutes and I feel rather limber. Then we were off to look at a car or two, ended up taking a Suzuki Baleno for a drive, not too bad at all. Then the "hard sell" started but I am very good at kicking G;s leg when he starts to give too much info out, I usually say "thank you for your information and time and when we know what we are doing in a week or so, we shall let you know one way or another" Go for more physio on Monday then to the oncologist and maybe take another car for a run depends on if our GV sells, Doggie sitting tomorrow so off to bed now. nice day again warm but cool. Doggie sat and Brian just ignored Miss Rosy Brian is back on his meds for his (virus) from the cat flu he had as a kitten when he gets a bit "stressed" he has heaps of sneezing fits, even when he is curled up next to me in bed .
